Welcome to London, one of most busy and vibrant city in the world. It is also one of most racially diverst cities with people from all over the world. The main currency is british pounds which is almost \u00a32 to USD$1. Life style is pretty laid back, people get on with what they do and the economy is strong and stable. Some famous international brands from United Kingdom you might hear of is Virgin Group, HSBC group.<\/p>\n

Travelling within London is mostly via the London Underground, which typically costs about \u00a33-4 per journey (It very costly!) and not particular the best in the world, its stable but on international scale, it would be rated as below average(compared with transport links of tokyo, singapore, shanghai, germany.. miles ahead and much cheaper). Food is next. Average decent meal out would set you back \u00a310-\u00a315.<\/p>\n

Renting in London would be approximately \u00a3100- \u00a3150 per week. This price would get you just a double room. A 2 bed room flat would cost about \u00a3400-\u00a3500 per week. Again this would depend on the location.<\/p><\/div>\n

Studying in London<\/h3>\n
Living rent in london is about \u00a3400 – \u00a3450 per month. For food, if you cook at home about \u00a340 – \u00a360 a week. Eating out is about \u00a310-15 per meal. But its common to cook at home. Most cooked meals are\u00a0 italian such as pasta or pizza. and of course curry.<\/div>\n

If you are living outside london, it is about the same in eating costs, but the rent is about \u00a3250-\u00a3300.<\/div>\n

Remember to ask for grants. There are overseas student grants\/bursary. if you are interested, visit the local british embassy to see if there are grants. or you can check their website.
Check the school fees. Its quite different from uni to uni. The last time i saw, its about ~\u00a38000 per year for foreign students. Tips: Students in UK are allowed to work for 20 hours per week. and most uni students work here to cover their expenditure and get experience.<\/p>\n

End of the day, no matter what the course is. Popular Unis are good. if you applying for UK universities, you have to go through UCAS. you can also visit their website for more information.<\/p>\n

The best thing to study in UK is you get to travel alot. I mean ALOT! .. not only locally to scotland \/ ireland but also to Europe. The flights from UK to various european countries such as france, belgium, germany varies from \u00a320 – \u00a3100 return. In some cases, there are \u00a31 return flights which are cheaper than local bus travel.<\/p>\n
